This type of scam happens when a fraudster will pose as a trusted organization like a financial institution, Microsoft, Pay Pal, etc. The fraudster then insists the individual log in to their online banking and/or send funds via wires, gift cards, or even withdraw cash from their accounts to convert into bitcoin using local bitcoin ATMs.
